You won’t find him on the speakers circuit and you will rarely read about him in the recruitment media yet he has done what very few people have done in the Australian recruitment sector: successfully build and sell two recruitment businesses, and all by the age of 35.
Stuart established his first recruitment business, Freeman Adams, a specialist financial services recruitment agency, in 1996 and sold it to Candle (now Clarius) three years later. His second recruitment business, SMF Recruitment started in 2002 and by 2005, when it was sold to Rubicor, SMF was employing 20 staff and generating close to $10 million in sales.
Stuart left SMF two years ago and set up his own private equity business from which the premium online wine retailer, Bullion Sellers, has been the most significant success to date.
