The shift of focus from self to others is a difficult shift for a recruiter to make and made far more challenging, typically, by the leader’s lack of genuine self-knowledge.
The role of the leader in a recruitment agency is even more critical than in most businesses due to the emotional nature of the work involved, the egos of frontline consultants and the (potentially) highly profitable nature of the recruitment business.
The skill of effective leadership is grounded in the understanding and use of strengths; the leader’s strengths and the strengths of the people that are in the leader’s team.
