Presented by Ross Clennett

Thanks to everyone who attended the 2008 NPA Asia Pacific Conference on Friday 23rd May.

Briefly, my presentation was about:

  • Learning why clients provide a narrow job selection criteria that often leads to a poor calibre short list
  • Understanding what actually does determine effective job performance
  • How to respectfully consult to clients so as to broaden the pool of potential candidates
In one sentence …

Skills, competencies and motivators drive performance NOT age, years of experience, gender or any other non-competency criteria.

I welcome your questions, comments and feedback on the Conference and my presentation.

Ross,

Thanks for the great mind prodding presentation on Friday.
As discussed with you after the event, you provided me with the prized ‘take away’ that I look for in at any conference.
Your ‘Agreed Competencies’candidate presentation method is one that I think will deliver great results for us.

Regards
