Poor attendance numbers at industry events disappointing: Clennett
Recruiters are missing out on valuable learning opportunities by failing to
attend industry events like the recent
RCSA PEARL Consultant Forum, says industry
trainer Ross Clennett.
In a
series of recent
blog posts, Clennett criticised the number
of recruiters who attended the forum, with fewer than 50 registered in the week
leading up to the event.
"It simply staggers me that our industry could be so cavalier about the
development of their own staff and so uninterested in attending such a
high-calibre event," he said.
Clennett said the attendance levels were particularly disheartening given the
very reasonable registration price.
"A day and a half out of the office is nothing when you consider the potential
learning available."
